May is National Tennis Month at the Synder Park Dredge Tennis Center. Join NTPRD/CCPD and the Springfield Area Tennis Association for a fun evening learning the love of tennis. Learn some basic skills and enjoy games and contests. Also learn about all the great summer tennis programs offered throughout the community. Have a racket? Bring a racket. Need a racket? We have one to borrow. Pizza and water will be provided for those who pre-register. All programming is led by USTA SafePlay™ approved providers.

Swing, Hit, Ace uses the concepts of fun, friends and play to help build the foundation for future success in tennis and life. Using the USTA play format, participants use modified equipment and courts, tailored to their age and size, making it easier to play, rally and succeed right from the start. Drills and games help develop core tennis skills within a fun, yet structured environment. All programming is led by USTA SafePlay™ approved providers.

SWING, HIT & ACE is an entry-level program geared towards players aged 5-14 years old who have little to no experience playing tennis. All programming is led by USTA SafePlay™ approved providers. Classes will be instructed by Greg Clements, local Yellow Springs Schools substitute teacher, and Saul Alvarez, a top player on the Yellow Springs High School tennis team.
